We’ll be getting back to fashion history before long, once I’m less busy and a few projects are completed. For now, here’s a brief look at the final artwork for Rise of Sirius.
This crest emulates the geometric and futuristic designs of the art deco style! Metallics are something often associated with this period, but bronze suits Sirius’ personality better than the gold or silver we might expect. The eight-point star has a rainbowed effect, created by many pastel lines which have then been blended together.
One reason the star of Sirius is the chosen emblem for this novel, is due to the fact that it was an important star to the Egyptians. We may look at this more a different day, possibly within the novel itself.
